Pinch Payments Unleashes $50,000 Hackathon to Revolutionize Payments Technology

In a bid to disrupt the payments landscape, Pinch Payments is hosting a $50,000 national hackathon, open to developers, founders, designers, and product managers across Australia. The event, running from July 24 to August 10, invites participants to build working solutions using the Pinch Payments API, with a focus on making businesses get paid more easily. With a broad range of use cases, including invoice payments, subscription management, and payment automation, the hackathon aims to encourage a diverse range of builders to test their ideas.

Pinch Payments cofounder Ben Cull sees the event as an opportunity for people to bring their ideas to life, with mentoring and support available across both payments and development. The hackathon's judging panel will evaluate teams based on six criteria, including innovation, technical execution, and effective use of Pinch technology. The Founders Union will provide additional support, including customer validation, product strategy, and go-to-market guidance.
