Georgia Law Enforcement Officers Face Consequences for Misusing License Plate Readers

In the latest instance, DeKalb County Sheriff's Office veteran Sgt. Kabiru Salawu, a 16-year veteran, was arrested and charged with a felony and a misdemeanor for misusing the agency's license plate reader system. Three Fayetteville police officers were also fired after they allegedly looked up their own license plate numbers or those of people they know.
